Single Muslims Must Get Married

By Mary Peterson

There are very few good things about being single. The real joy of life lies in marriage. Of course, some people justify bachelorhood or spinsterhood with the idea that they are not yet ready for marriage either because they are not earning enough income or they have not reached the desired points in their career life. It is okay to chase after success. However, on top of striving for success, single Muslims need to plan on marrying by 30 years. Being single after 30 years, can cause stress and make it hard to succeed.

A single believer needs to plan on getting married. That is because the Holy Books say that marriage is the destiny of the believer. It is a good thing to marry and start a family. That is the most religious thing that a Muslim can do. Many secular scholars have also said that marriage has many benefits compared to being a single person.

In the 20s, one can easily get a pass with the excuse that he is just too busy pursuing his career to the point that he even cannot find the time to date. However, in the early 30s, such thinking will no longer hold water because time will be seriously running out. At that point, the only valid excuse is that one has not found the right person.

Indeed, not finding the right individual is the reason why many people are not yet married. It is not about closing the eyes and choosing the first person that one comes across. Marriage is a serious issue that should not be underestimated at any moment in time. Thus, the most vital matter is actually the compatibility issue.

Compatibility is just but one side of the equation. The other side is about love. It is not merely the love that one says with the mouth. It is the real love that is a feeling and comes from the deepest part of the heart. It does not totally make sense for a person to marry someone that he does not love.

In the past, most marriages were arranged. Thus, people ended up marrying individuals that they did not love. The ancient marriages were very mechanical in nature. They were not enjoyable because of the lack of compatibility. Actually, marrying was not for the sake of increasing happiness but mechanically bringing children to the world and facilitating the continuity of a generation.

Compatibility is a serious issue that cannot be proven just by looking at a person. Because of its complex nature, the best way to determine whether there is compatibility is by using a highly complex computer program. Some dating websites actually have complex web based programs that test the compatibility factor. Such websites should be visited by a person.

In the present day world, internet dating makes a lot of sense. That is because it has a high success rate and it is a very convenient affair. One can date from the comfort of home or office. To do so, one requires an internet enabled device and an online dating account. Having a fully completed dating profile will increase the chances of success.
