Little Known About Drip Irrigation Repair

By Karen Carter

Water is a life so goes the adage and so true this is. Plants do require water and that is why it is vital to irrigate them. As the level of technology grows every day we find that new methods of giving water to plants are invented but the one that we will look at a greater depth at is the one that uses channeled water in hose pipes which have holes, these holes helps in dispersing of water to the crop roots though it has several demerits which then calls for drip irrigation repair.

Hose pipes that take water to root bases have leakage which is a disadvantage to required plants. The water does make other weeds grow since it gushes out in places that have no crops hence making them compete with other crops to get nutrients and water. There is need to fix the leakage in order to make the plants have less weeds that do grow around the leaking area.

This kind of irrigation do require one to have tools which are a necessity during fixing the broken parts in order to achieve best results. Gadgets like drip irrigation tool is required in order to make work easier while fixing plugs and punch holes in tubing for hose pipes. This makes one have less pain that is brought about by those plugs that do not fit well and are supposed to be fixed making one struggle while trying to fix them with fingers.

Plugs are also vital when it comes to fixing the system. Holes do not go according to the way the plants do grow hence there is need to put them in the way that plants grow in order to make water get absorbed to these plants thoroughly. Plugs are therefore inserted using hands to stop the water from gushing out.

There are also other tools that are used during fixing of the system but the above mentioned gives one a better clarity of what is needed during the process. The following guidelines are followed when during the fixing, a hole is made to the distributor valve and a plug is connected to a hole. It is vital for the hole to be tight and have a good seal.

Human nature is prone to error hence a times the holes that are made appear to be bigger than expected hence they are required to be made smaller. A cut is made and conjoined to two hose pipes using a straight coupler. Cutting is done on each side leaving the hole eradicated.

The drip is connected on the main tubing which feeds water to it and later the drip distributes water to the roots. A small coupler which is bubbled is drilled to the main tubing using a drip tool. A quarter of the tubing is on one end of the bulb when connection is done, and a micro-sprinkler is on the other.

Fixing the system does come with advantages in plenty one of them being saving money that could be used to repair by an expert. The last process is the one that one should be keen on since it is somehow tasking. If you put it on your finger-tips all the problems of fixing will be long gone.
