Swimming regardless if it is recreational or competitive, it will always be good for you to build up the right kind of endurance, stamina and good cardiovascular condition. The truth is wither you choose to swim in the ocean or in the pool you will still be able to gain all these health benefits. However in swimming pools such as Oklahoma City swimming pools provides a safer environment for people who do not swim for sport.

Here are a few advantages in swimming pools. As what aforementioned, pools have trained lifeguards, whom are equipped with safety and rescue in accidents or emergency. The next reason why pools are very convenient, especially for new to the activity is that one has more control with their environment, and with that could avoid possible accidents.

When it comes to supervision, children must at all times be guided regardless if their playing in a mini pool or making sand castles by the shore, because the environment might be unpredictable, but so as the child playful mind. Easily lured by new things they could wonder off to danger without proper supervision.

Though supervision is still needed but it will be less in comparison to the sea. Also most swimming pools have professional life guards on the watch. Equipped with basic safety and rescue measures, to assure people that if there are incident it will be prevented from causing any permanent damage.

There is a higher percentage of people drowning regardless whether he or she is an adult or a child, some reasons behind accidents and cases of drowning in the sea is due to its unpredictable environment. The currents and the sharp stones are simply waiting for a disaster to happen.

But unlike in movies shark caused deaths are not usually because they are preying on humans, but rather die due to profuse bleeding in instances of shark attacks. But regardless that still pose as a problem in most swimming activities in the ocean.

In swimming pools however, there is no threat with regards to aquatic wildlife. Pools are safer environment in comparison to the sea. Though the sea has more spacious and allows more freedom in movement, but it is simply too unpredictable and dangerous for people who are still learning to swim.

And that is one of the reasons why most people are afraid to take risk and swim in oceans. In comparison the pool have no aquatic wildlife and has solely been made for the comforts and convenience of the people who would like to enjoy the sport of swimming without having to fight currents or avoid any dangerous wildlife.

Competitive swimmer might not be fazed by strong currents with their build up stamina they could withstand some harsh environmental condition. However as what was aforementioned the aquatic wildlife might pose as a threat to these athletes. Precautions if not given importance can be a lesson to keep or a lesson to learn. Because regrets are met by the end of the day, and mistakes are irreversible.
